There Is Beauty All Around

Once upon a time Adam and I were at his house and we could NOT decide what to do. I am quite the indecisive person and Adam and I can never choose what to do or where to go ha ha. So as we sat there trying to force the other person to choose what to do, Adam's dad gave us a fantastic idea! We took my jeep and drove up above the Bountiful B and oh my goodness it was amazing! I can't believe that I had never been up there before-it was THAT cool. If you haven't been above the B like I hadn't, do it.

So we drove up the mountain until we got to the tippy tippy top where we could see out over the city for practically forever! We started to head back down at the absolute perfect time as the sun was setting and it was perfect lighting for pictures. That means that I took a lot and am going to post a lot! Be prepared.

I know that was a lot of pictures, but aren't they amazing?? Uh I love Fall so much! The reds, oranges, yellows and greens. The crunchy, crispy leaves everywhere. Fall is the best time of the year to take pictures. I just love it. This was such a great night above the B and I can't wait to do it again next Fall!

May This Year Be A Great One

Fall is great for oh-so-many reasons. One being that it is the season which contains my birthday. October 11th-my birthday for the past 17 years. I'm 17. That's really weird to me. One year from now I will be an adult. How strange is that?

I remember, even just a few years back, I wanted to be older SO bad. Now though, I really just wish I could be a little kid again.

In the words of Taylor Swift in her new song "Innocent":
"Wasn't it easier in your lunch box days? Wasn't it beautiful when you believed in everything and everybody believed in you?...Wasn't it easier in your firefly catchin' days? Wasn't it beautiful runnin' wild until you fell asleep?"

Or in the words of Rosi Golan in her song "I Don't Wanna Wait":
"No one tells me where to go, no one tells me what to do today... I feel just like a child thinking everything is mine at the drop of a dime... Oh I feel just like a child running around getting wild, unaware of the time."

So back to the subject, my birthday was last month and it was great:) I opened my presents that my sweet mom and Cailey bought for me and they did such an awesome job picking things out for me. I got a cute scarf, a super pretty silver bracelet and head band, a turquoise(my favorite color) sweatshirt(sweatshirts are my favorite article of clothing)-so basically that was a total success ha ha, a gray vest, a cute lime green long sleeve shirt, and a pair of jeans.

That same night the family all went out to a pumpkin patch out in South Jordan to pick out some pumpkins which Adam and I later carved with Carly and Judd..that was fun ha ha:)

After the pumpkin patch we went to dinner at...can you guess? Red Robin of course-the Haycock restaurant for every occasion ha ha.

After dinner Adam gave me a gold necklace and headband which I love and have gotten so many compliments for and a really yummy vanilla lotion-he knows about my super sensitivity to scents and chose great with the vanilla ha ha:)

So to sum it all up, I had a really great birthday and it was really fun to play with my family. Thanks everyone for my birthday presents and wishes!

Come and Gone

Fall is my favorite season-by far. But unfortunately Fall has come and gone already this year and I am a serious Debby Downer because of it. Hence this post. To lift my spirits and keep me positive, I am going to blog all about my Fall and pretend that Winter isn't here yet:) Every day until I cover the whole season, I will post something that I love about it, or something that I did during it this year. Here goes today's post.



When asked what you are grateful for, a typical answer from your average-Joe would be "sun", "sunshine", you get the idea. However, in this scenario I am not your average-Joe. My response is rain. Crazy as it may seem, I absolutely love rain. Maybe it has something to do with growing up in Oregon where it rains all year long? I don't know where it comes from, but I DO know that I love it. The smell of rain itself is incredible! Don't you just love walking outside while it's raining and breathing in the fresh, clean air? I do! Not only do I love standing out in the rain getting soaked from head to toe, but I love all the things that rain means. Rain is the essence of Fall. Rain means cool temperatures, it means rain boots, it's my favorite thing about my favorite season. Until next year Fall. Come back soon!

Homecoming 2010

Adam asked me to Homecoming a few weeks ago in the coolest way! He dropped off a note at my door...


then I went outside and found pink roses lined all the way up my driveway it was SO cute! (Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of them lined up:()Each rose had a number on it and when I typed it in my phone in order it spelled out Please, Clark Superman.


I loved my beautiful flowers and still have the dried petals in my room!




To answer him, I"m sorry, I also didn't take any pictures of my answer-I can't believe I forgot! I'm so sad ha ha! Anyway, he got his idea to ask me from National Treasure that we had watched a couple of weeks earlier, so I stuck with the theme and got him an old fashioned replica of the Declaration of Independence and wrote on a separate piece of paper a series of numbers in invisible ink that he had to burn in order to make appear(baking...soda? powder? I don't remember and water ha ha) that led him to letters on the declaration that spelled out "No way would I ever say no", aka yes, but yes is way too easy!

Our group for the dance was such a wonderful group and it was so much fun! For our day activity, we went, after football of course, to Mueller Park and did a huge slip and slide that also included soap, whipped cream and Hershey's syrup. It was so so messy and a total blast! However, this picture goes to showing you that it IS possible to have TOO much fun at a day activity ha ha!


Since Homecoming was the same night as the priesthood session of General Conference, after our day activity we went to an early dinner to Texas Roadhouse which was very delicious! Then the boys went to priesthood and the girls got ready. At 8 they picked us up and we headed to the dance. It was SO much fun! Dancing, pictures, talking, it was just a blast! And I cannot wait to get our pictures from the dance.

No Me Gusta la Escuela

So here's the story. Elementary-LOVED it. Seriously I looked forward to it every day. Ask anyone in my family, from about kindergarten to 4th grade I even carried around a workbook everywhere I went! I absolutely loved learning and asked question after question.

Jr. High is when the stress began. I have stress issues. I stress over everything and it's awful. Trust me-I try. I really try not to get stressed out, but I can't do anything about it. Anyway ha ha, Jr. High was still pretty fun. I loved loved my ninth grade year especially.

Now high school, I love it too. It really is quite nice and fun. However, the stress from Jr. High has increased about ten fold. It doesn't help that I am taking every possible Honors class and an AP class, but...oh well ha ha! So the point being, school is extremely stressful and hard for me. My schedule goes like this:

'A' Days:
1: Honors English - I swear we do nothing in this class, yet get graded unfairly for the things we DO do..?
2: Child Care - the one class that I actually really really love! This class is meant to help you to be a better future parent or teacher, both of which I want to be! We get to do fun activities, act like little kids, and best of all- play with the babies and teach the preschool kids in the day care! I looked forward to this class every single day!
3: Ap American History - uh! SO much work!
4: Honors Pre-Calc - not TOO bad so far, but it's math. Come on, it's hard and it stinks.

'B' Days:
5: Seminary - sorry in advance to all of you who will think I'm a bad person for this, but it is so boring! I have basically no one in my class.
6: Film History - I think this class will be pretty cool and interesting, but it is really hard to stay awake! We just watch and critique movies :)
7: Honors Chemistry - I am and have always been so awful at science so I'm really nervous about when I won't have Adam, Mechale and Chandler as my lab partners!
8: Financial Lit - so incredibly pointless. We took a pre-test to see what we knew, and I think everyone in our class probably got 100% ha ha.

Anyway....I have just spent 32 lines complaining about school...ha ha. Sorry! "So to sum it up-we're having fun. You look young. But that's not ENOUGH!" (you FRIENDS fans will appreciate that line ha ha). But seriously- to sum it up, school is already killing me. I like the social part and being around friends and great people and learning some of the interesting stuff, and mostly-I love Child Care! :)

We're Goin' to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo...

How about you, you, you? (By the way, that is the best little kid song ha ha. Listen to it.)

Anyway, last Saturday Adam and I decided that we wanted to go to the Hogle Zoo so we went! On the way out there it started POURING rain and when we got there that hadn't changed ha. Luckily, we had an umbrella, so instead of being miserable, it just made it more fun! Everyone was running out of the zoo as we got there, and the whole time we were there we ran into about 15 other people. It was a very memorable trip to the zoo :)

Since it was raining, it was somewhat difficult to hold the umbrella and take pictures at the same time, so there are not many pictures of the animals, sorry! But we did take some funny pictures in the car on the way home ha ha.

Mawage

"Mawage, mawage is what bwings us togeta today."

Marriage is what brought all my family together this last Saturday:) My sister Carly just got married! Yay! Judd and Carly are so happy and so cute together! They are so mean, and hilarious and I seriously love having them live here at the house!

Saturday morning they went to the Salt Lake City temple and got sealed together forever.
