Today is May 7. The day after May 6. Yesterday was my AP American test. That means today is the greatest day! With that test over, school is basically over. All that's left is CRT's and those are easy ha ha. Summer...here I come!!
Anyway...there has been so much going on lately and now I can finally blog about it. I didn't know where to begin, so I looked through all of my pictures on my computer and phone and realized that there is a lot from even a long time ago that I haven't posted! So here's to the next few weeks of lots of posts:)
January 13 (i know-that's a looong time ago) Cailey and I got our tonsils out. It was quite the fun experience ha ha. We went to the surgery center really early in the morning and put on those adorable little gowns that everybody wishes they could wear every day ha ha. Our nurse was the coolest lady and she talked to us for like half an hour. Her 6 year old son had just gotten his out, and she took the liberty of telling us that he was fine like 10 minutes later, but for someone our age we should expect about a 2-3 week recovery. Yay...not! She wasn't trying to scare us, she was just being realistic ha ha. She put in my IV easy as cake, gave me some wonderful warm blankets and moved on to Cailey. Cailey was a different story ha ha. It took a few tries to get in her IV and then it got all swollen and weird and painful. Guess I was the lucky one that day! ha ha. (Seriously though-I was even like completely delirious when they took the IV OUT! And that is the part that I hate the very most!) Then our doctor came over and Cailey got him laughing at us by telling him I smoke ha ha. He was kinda weird, but funny. Anyway, I went in first and I tried to stay awake when they put the mask on my face to knock me out, but nope. I was out like there was nothing to it. I woke up and felt crazy ha ha.
Thanks to my amazing mom, she took care of us all day every day. She's awesome! We took lots of liquid lortab, sucked on lots of lidocaine lollipops and eventually got all better!:) However, after the pain, my uvula (the dangly thing in the back of your throat) was super swollen and I kept chocking on it! I know how disgusting that sounds, but it's true! ha ha. It was a good week and a half:)
Yay for no more tonsils!
